Students will undertake the 30 credit point dissertation in Years 3 and 4 as determined by the Program Director and subject to the following criteria: completion of Years 1 and 2 of the Bachelor of Social Work (1372) or Bachelor of Social Work (1282) or equivalent program; achievement of a GPA of at least 5.5 for the second year core courses in the Bachelor of Social Work (1372) or Bachelor of Social Work (1282); and achievement of a grade of at least 5.0 in 2002HSV Human Services Research or equivalent research course. The Program Director will take the following into consideration when assessing applications for admission: the suitability of the proposed dissertation topic; and the resources available to support the candidature including availability of appropriate supervision. English language requirements apply to International applicants and other applicants whose previous study was undertaken in a language other than English.
