专业简介
The Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice with Honours enables students to obtain research training at a level adequate to prepare them for postgraduate research studies in justice administration, criminal justice, or criminology at any University. The program also exposes students to advanced theoretical concepts and policy debates in contemporary criminology, and aims to prepare students for a career at a responsible level in the criminal justice system.

There are several advantages in doing an Honours year:
an Honours qualification can be an advantage in the job market and in career development;
the Honours year greatly enhances a student's research skills by offering additional courses in research methods and data analysis and requiring a supervised dissertation;
the Honours year makes possible advanced studies in areas relevant to a student's professional interests; and
it is very difficult to win a postgraduate scholarship without a good Honours degree.
Studying Criminology and Criminal Justice provides graduates with a pathway to a wide variety of rapidly growing career opportunities. Graduates are suited to find work in the following fields: Police and law enforcement, corrections, intelligence data collection and analysis, crime prevention, non-police law enforcement and investigations, youth justice, youth and child protection, research, policy development.

English Language Requirements accepted: A minimum overall band score of 6.5 on IELTS (Academic) with no sub-score of less than 6.0; an internet-based (iBT) TOEFL score of 79 (no sub-score less than 19); a minimum score of 575 on TOEFL; or no score less than 3+ in each skill of the ISLPR (conducted by ISLPR Language Services only);or Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE): Minimum grade of C on the or a Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE): Minimum grade of C on the or Pearson Test of English (Academic): Overall score of 58 with no score less than 50.
国际学生入学条件
Applicants must also have completed courses in Statistics (2009CCJ Statistics for Social Research) and Research Methods (3012CCJ Social Science Research Methods) and attained at least a grade of 5.0 in both these courses (or their equivalents).
English language requirements apply to International applicants and other applicants whose previous study was undertaken in a language other than English. The minimum English language requirements for such applicants for entry to this program are as follows:
A minimum overall band score of 7.0 on IELTS (Academic) with no sub-score of less than 6.5
OR a minimum score of 580 on TOEFL
OR an internet-based (iBT) TOEFL score of 92 (no score less than 22)
OR no score less than 4 in each skill of the ISLPR (conducted by ISLPR Language Services only)
OR a minimum grade of C on the Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE)
OR an overall score of 65 in the Pearson Test of English (Academic) with no score less than 58.
