This program suits to anyone who works in an international field (with or without a legal background), this program provides a clear understanding of the international laws that shape global systems, and how to work within those laws. Attain a postgraduate qualification from one of Australia's leading law schools. Taught by research centre academics, legal practitioners, judges and international scholars, learn from a diversity of views and high-level professional knowledge. Choose from a broad range of electives covering topics including business, diplomacy, international policy, advocacy, negotiation and war. Students with research aspirations may also undertake a supervised dissertation. Study the Master of International Law concurrently with the Master of International Relations through the combined Master of International Relations / Master of International Law, for the opportunity to gain two highly sought-after degrees.

Applicants must have a Bachelor degree or equivalent with a GPA of at least 4.50 on a 7 point scale and four years full-time work experience post-graduation including at least two of the four years full-time work experience gained while working in a dedicated supervisory/management role as approved by the Executive Dean; OR Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from UQ or equivalent with a GPA of at least 4.50 on a 7 point scale. International applicants must complete the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) with a minimum score of 550. English language requirements: IELTS: Overall Band Score of 6.5 and a minimum score of 6 in each sub-band of Writing, Reading, Speaking and Listening; or TOEFL (Internet-Based-iBT): Overall score 87 with a Writing score of 21 and Reading, Speaking and Listening scores of 19; or TOEFL (Paper-based): Overall score of 570 and a minimum score of 5.0 in the Test of Written English (TWE) and 54 in Listening and Reading; or PTE: Overall score of 64 with 60 in each communicative skills section; or CAE/CPE: Overall Cambridge English Scale (CES) score of 176 with a minimum score of 169 in each skill; or BEP: A minimum overall grade of 4 plus a minimum grade of C in all four macro skills.

To enrol in the program, a person must hold a Bachelor degree in law; or Bachelor of arts (or equivalent) with a sequence of study in peace and conflict studies, international relations, political science, sociology, cultural studies, media studies, communication, economics/political economy, anthropology or ethnography; with a GPA of 5.
