This dual Masters program allows students to integrate their commerce related disciplinary knowledge with the theory and practice of commercial law to develop an understanding of how the law shapes international commercial interactions of all kinds. In addition to their chosen field of study in commerce students are introduced to private law and public law and then study a range of commercially related law courses specifically developed for students interested in the world of commerce. Fields of study Applied Finance Students undertake courses in financial management; portfolio management; and corporate finance principles including risk assessment and business statistics. Information Systems The field of Information Systems is designed for business managers who wish to obtain education and training in the analysis, design and management of Information Systems in a business environment. The program facilitates the development of advanced Information Systems skills that enable students to conduct business intelligence activities and advise on organizational information requirements and related strategy. Through completing the program, students are able to integrate their existing understanding of, and experience in, business, with skills for eliciting organizational requirements, and designing, developing and managing systems involving business data. The program thus equips students with a broad knowledge of technology issues, and targeted skills to develop well-rounded Business Analysts with a specialization in Information Systems. Professional Accounting Courses allow students to develop the skills necessary to practice in the accounting profession. Students complete the field of study and use their electives to study the necessary prerequisites for associate membership of the key Australian accounting professional bodies: Certified Practicing Accountants (CPA) (Australia) and Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand (CAANZ).
