The Bachelor of Commerce is designed to develop your business acumen, financial literacy, and analytical skills. You'll be prepared for a career in fields including accounting, financial management, banking and information systems. Choose to study either one or two majors. You need to choose a major from your second year of study. Majors are optional – if you prefer, you can study a mix of courses. For details, see the Majors tab. Complete a range of compulsory courses that cover concepts relevant across financial services sector. You'll study topics including accounting, information systems, economics, business law, management and more. Graduate with a combination of core and specialist knowledge, along with sharp analytical and technical skills. You'll be ready to adapt to ever-changing commercial environments and be in high demand with employers.

Business Information Systems
The Business and Information Systems major focuses on technologies and systems that support business processes and management. Information systems are used by managers to inform their decision-making and allow for effective and efficient commercial operations. As a student in the Business Information Systems major, you'll learn about the analysis of business operations and information requirements, design and management of core information systems and learn principles of business process improvement.

Students are required to complete international equivalent to Australian Year 12 (or equivalent). Academic minimum entry requirements for international applicants vary from country to country. English language requirements: IELTS: Overall Band Score of 6.5 and a minimum score of 6 in each sub-band of Writing, Reading, Speaking and Listening; or TOEFL (Internet-Based-iBT): Overall score 87 with a Writing score of 21 and Reading, Speaking and Listening scores of 19; or TOEFL (Paper-based): Overall score of 570 and a minimum score of 5.0 in the Test of Written English (TWE) and 54 in Listening and Reading; or PTE: Overall score of 64 with 60 in each communicative skills section; or CAE/CPE: Overall Cambridge English Scale (CES) score of 176 with a minimum score of 169 in each skill; or BEP: A minimum overall grade of 4 plus a minimum grade of C in all four macro skills.
