专业简介
Develop automation and advanced manufacturing technologies with the Master of Engineering (Mechatronics) at Australia’s No.1 university for engineering and technology. You’ll blend mechanical, electrical and software engineering to harness computer controls in areas such as robotics, vehicles and CNC machines.
Learn from world leading experts
Develop advanced mechatronics engineering skills, guided by experts in automation and control. You’ll be learning from researchers who have worked on robots with a human touch, rehabilitation robotics, data-driven learning for dynamic systems and optimising smart grids.
An industry aligned curriculum
Apply your skills in internships, industry projects, and innovation challenges with industry mentors.
An internationally recognised qualification
Open doors to engineering careers around the world with dual accreditation in the Master of Engineering.
World class facilities
Access world-class facilities, including wind tunnels, alternative fuel engines, rehabilitation robots, UAV platforms and large-scale water management systems
The Master of Engineering (Mechatronics) is a 2-3 year degree (full-time) depending on your prior study.
Course structure
FIRST YEAR
In your first year (or equivalent) you’ll complete foundation engineering subjects – tailored to students from a non-engineering background. If you’ve completed the Mechatronics Systems major in your bachelor’s degree, plus the required maths and science subjects, you’ll receive credit for these foundation engineering subjects and start in second year.
SECOND AND THIRD YEAR
In the second and third year of the program (or equivalent), you’ll focus on your chosen engineering discipline. As a mechatronics engineering student, you will blend mechanical, electrical and software engineering to develop automation and advanced manufacturing technologies. You will harness computer control in areas such as robotics, vehicles and CNC machines.
You’ll undertake an industry, design or research project and gain the skills and knowledge to practice as a professional engineer.
Careers
As a mechatronics engineer, you could work in a range of fields such as the electronics, automotive, biotechnology and manufacturing sectors.
