The Master of Energy Systems is for students who have completed a degree in engineering, science, business, finance or economics, and are looking to make a career change to the energy sector.

Industry aligned curriculum
Take part in an industry project with energy companies, providers, distributors or market operators, organisations specialising in alternative energy sources and more.
As a Master of Energy systems student, your focus will be on analysing energy systems from technical, commercial and policy standpoints, from generation of energy, storage and delivery. You will explore energy finance, economics, energy markets and the operation of renewable and non-renewable energy systems.
You will complete a 150 point program, including 100 points of core subjects and 50 points of electives.

Graduate coursework programs normally require the satisfactory completion of an undergraduate degree either from the University of Melbourne, another Australian institution, or a university in another country. English language requirements: IELTS (academic English Only) - 7.0 overall, with written 7 and no band less than 6.0; TOEFL (paper-based test) - 600 + TWE 5.0; TOEFL (internet-based test) - 94 + (Writing 27; Speaking 18; Reading 13; Listening 13); Pearson Test of English (Academic) - 65 + written communicative skill of 65 and no other communicative skill below 50; Cambridge English: Advanced/ Certificate of Advanced English (CAE) - 185 + no less than 185 in Writing and 169 in each other skill.

An undergraduate degree: in a relevant discipline, such as Commerce, Science, Engineering; with a weighted average mark of at least H3 (65%), or equivalent; including at least 12.5 points (1 subject) of mathematics, statistics or another quantitative subject at an appropriate level; 2 years of continuous, documented work experience in an applicable field, or equivalent.
