One of only four educational psychology courses in the country, our highly regarded Master of Educational Psychology will prepare you to work as a registered psychologist supporting individuals with developmental and learning issues. The course will provide you with valuable skills in counselling, psychological assessment, research methods, intervention, group work, consultation and multidisciplinary team work. Accreditation Successful completion of the course will qualify you to practice as a registered psychologist and become a Member of the Australian Psychological Society and Associate Member of the College of Educational and Developmental Psychologists. Throughout the degree, you will focus on early childhood development, learning issues, mental health, life transitions and promoting wellbeing across the lifespan. You will develop expertise based on a student-centred reflective learning curriculum through programs that are highly relevant to schools and educational policy and practice. Placements Placements occur in a range of settings, including primary and secondary schools, early learning centres, colleges, clinics, hospitals, private practice and community settings. Course details Course code: 312AA 2 years full-time or 4 years part-time 200 points of coursework, comprising: 9 core subjects 1000 hours of supervised fieldwork a 10,000 word research project. Delivery mode On campus with some subjects offered partially in intensive Saturday workshops. Students also complete 1000 hours of supervised placement in professional field settings.
