The Master of Criminology program exposes you to the latest theoretical and practical advances in criminology from international crimes - like terrorism and genocide - to local issues - like Indigenous justice and injustice. This cutting-edge course is taught by experts working at the forefront of national, international and comparative research. It equips you with a sophisticated appreciation of global trends in crime and criminal justice. WHO IS IT FOR? Master of Criminology is designed for students wishing to extend their cognate undergraduate degree, or for people already working in social policy and justice who want to enhance their knowledge. You can further your knowledge in organizational crime, drug use and policy, corruption, crime prevention, and human rights. If you want to build on your transferable skills in research and research design, this course equips you with the abilities to collect, analyse and theories data. It also suits those wishing to undertake an internship at a domestic or global criminal justice agency. The program assists you to develop your own industry networks by gaining hands-on experience in criminal justice practice, and through offering opportunities to meet a wide-range of criminal justice professionals. WHERE WILL IT TAKE ME? On graduation from the Master of Criminology, you'll be ready for work in professional fields including: Government administration with an emphasis on crime and justice Legal services particularly with Indigenous and other disadvantaged populations Local government agencies concerned with community safety Social justice research and action agencies. Graduates are employed in a variety of roles anchored in policy and applied research, including with the: Australian Drug Foundation Commonwealth Attorney-General's Department Sentencing Advisory Council Victoria Victorian Department of Justice The Red Cross 200 point program (2 years full-time or part-time equivalent) This is our most popular program for those who have completed undergraduate study. No experience is necessary. 12.5 points of Core subjects (to be completed in first 50 points of program) 37.5 points of Foundation subjects (to be completed in first 50 points of program) 37.5 points of Compulsory subjects 112.5 points of Elective subjects (Coursework only) OR 62.5 points of Elective subjects and 50 points of Thesis subjects (Minor Thesis option) 150 point program (1.5 years full-time or part-time equivalent) This is our most popular program for those who have completed undergraduate study in a relevant discipline. 37.5 points of Compulsory subjects 112.5 points of Elective subjects (Coursework only) OR 62.5 points of Elective subjects and 50 points of Thesis subjects (Minor Thesis option) 100 point program (1 year full-time or part-time equivalent) This is for relevant honours graduates or those who have completed at least two years professional work experience in a closely related field, in addition to relevant background study. 25 points of Compulsory subjects 75 points of Elective subjects (Coursework only) OR 25 points of Elective Subjects and 50 points of Thesis subjects (Minor Thesis option)

为来自中国的学生设计 Graduate coursework programs normally require the satisfactory completion of an undergraduate degree either from the University of Melbourne, another Australian institution, or a university in another country. English language requirements: IELTS (academic English Only) - 7.0 overall, with written 7 and no band less than 6.0; TOEFL (paper-based test) - 600 + TWE 5.0; TOEFL (internet-based test) - 94 + (Writing 27; Speaking 18; Reading 13; Listening 13); Pearson Test of English (Academic) - 65 + written communicative skill of 65 and no other communicative skill below 50; Cambridge English: Advanced/ Certificate of Advanced English (CAE) - 185 + no less than 185 in Writing and 169 in each other skill. 国际学生入学条件 In order to be considered for entry for the 200 point program, applicants must have completed: an undergraduate degree in any discipline, with at least H2B (70%) weighted average, or equivalent. In order to be considered for entry for the 100 point program, applicants must have completed: an honours degree in a cognate discipline, with at least an H2B (70%) weighted average, or equivalent; or an undergraduate degree and an Graduate Diploma in Arts (Advanced) - Criminology, with at least H2B (70%) weighted average, or equivalent; or an undergraduate degree in a cognate discipline, with at least H2B (70%) weighted average, or equivalent, and at least two years of documented, relevant work experience.
