This course gives you opportunities to explore the subject which are probably unrivalled anywhere else in the UK or Europe. It focuses on the history of ancient Greece, Rome, the Middle East and Egypt from the third millennium BC to late antiquity. The Undergraduate Preparatory Certificates (UPCs) are intensive one-year foundation courses for international students of high academic potential who are aiming to gain access to undergraduate degree programmes at UCL and other top UK universities. It is designed to teach many transferable skills: how to gather and organize evidence; how to analyze it and present a structured argument; how to express you clearly, both in writing and orally.
