Develop your potential for leadership in local and national government, non-governmental organisations, or the private sector. Programme overview The MPP gives you a foundation in the core principles, concepts and methods of public policy research and analysis, and develops your skills in solving public policy problems. You can connect theory with practice by studying the nature of policy, policy design and the policy process, and engaging in policy analysis and development. You’ll be able to follow your own interests through research and elective courses. You can apply to enrol in our internship course for hands-on experience in policy. Programme structure The MPP is available as either a 120-point taught or research masters, or a 180-point taught masters, depending on your entry qualification and whether you would like to write a thesis. 入学要求

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants must hold a satisfactory level of competence in the subject area attested from a recognised institution, or an equivalent qualification. Other English Language Requirements accepted: overall score of 575 plus Essay (TWE) of 4.5 in Paper-based TOEFL; CAE score of 58 or higher, no individual language skill below borderline; CPE score of 45 or higher; PTE overall score of 65 and no PTE communicative skills score below 58; score of 85 in Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB). 国际学生入学条件 120 points: You must have completed a one-year postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline, following an undergraduate degree, at a recognised university (or similar institution) and an introductory statistics course. Four-year undergraduate degrees will be considered where the final year consists of postgraduate-level study. You will need a GPE of 5.0. Relevant disciplines include business, communication, criminology, economics, education, governance, law, media, organisational studies, political sciences public administration, public health, public management, public policy, public relations, sociology and social work. 180 points: You must have completed an undergraduate degree at a recognised university (or similar institution) in a relevant discipline and an introductory statistics course. You will need a GPE of 5.0. IELTS (Academic): Overall score of 6.5; Internet-based TOEFL (iBT): Overall score of 90; Paper-based TOEFL: Overall score of 575; Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) or Cambridge English Proficiency (CPE): Overall score of 176; Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: Overall score of 58; Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB): 85.
