专业简介
Pursue a flexible business degree and gain strong communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills. A wide range of conjoint options are available.
A BCom with a double major is a three-year degree programme. You will be required to complete a minimum of 24 courses (360 points). In your first year of study, a set of seven compulsory core courses (105 points) will become the building blocks for your degree.
Programme overview
You will complete a set of core courses. These include an exciting two course sequence in Business and Enterprise. These will introduce the types of choices facing entrepreneurs and managers and help you develop your academic and professional skills.
Your first year core programme will provide a strong base from which to launch into your chosen major or majors. A double major will enable you to gain greater breadth and increase your career options by combining two sets of courses at advanced level.
In Management, you will study organisational environments and structures. You will study how people work as individuals and in teams. You will also explore universal organisational issues, including change, control, power and conflict.
What can you study in Management?
You can study Management as a single major or as a double major alongside one of the other majors offered within the Bachelor of Commerce. (These include Marketing and International Business.)
You can also study towards the Bachelor of Commerce in Management as part of a conjoint degree programme. (In a conjoint programme, you study for two degrees at once, attaining the qualification in a shorter time than it would take to complete the two programmes separately.)
You will learn about the word of work, how business organisations operate and the roles of people within these organisations. Your studies will include ethics, sustainability and other critical issues in business today.
