The PGDipArts is an alternative to the Bachelor of Arts (Honours). This programme might be for you if you want to undertake advanced study without writing a dissertation, if honours degrees aren’t recognised in your country, or if you would like to study part-time over a longer period. You can use a completed PGDipArts with a GPA of 5.0 or higher as an entry qualification for the one-year Master of Arts. Development Studies Development Studies examines the transformation of communities and societies around the world while critically engaging with concepts and outcomes of international development from various perspectives. Development Studies seeks to understand how societies, regions and communities change and critically examines the policies and practices of governments, NGOs, international donors and other development agents to facilitate social transformation and improve the quality of life in so-called ‘developing’ countries. Our programme brings together students from diverse academic, professional and cultural backgrounds.
