The MProfStuds is a masters degree with a professional focus. It can be a useful way to continue your postgraduate study if you already have a masters degree.
You can complete a graduate or postgraduate qualification in an Education or Science programme that includes topics such as:

Master of Professional Studies in Mathematics Education 120-point (one-year) taught masters requires:
· At least 45 points from ENGSCI 701–772, MATHS 701–789, STATS 701–703, 705 or 708–787
· Up to 30 points from EDPROFST 787 or other 700-level courses approved by the Head of School of Curriculum and Pedagogy or the Programme Director
· 45 points from a dissertation, either EDPROFST 789, MATHS 785 or STATS 792

Applicants must hold a satisfactory level of competence in the subject area attested from a recognised institution, or an equivalent qualification. Other English Language Requirements accepted: overall score of 575 plus Essay (TWE) of 4.5 in Paper-based TOEFL; CAE score of 58 or higher, no individual language skill below borderline; CPE score of 45 or higher; PTE overall score of 65 and no PTE communicative skills score below 58; score of 85 in Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB).

You must have completed one of the following:
A four-year bachelors degree (which includes one year of postgraduate-level study)
A one-year postgraduate degree
A bachelors degree and a one-year professional qualification or three years professional experience relevant to the area that you would like to study.
You will need a GPE of at least 3.0 and for some specialisations a higher GPE will be required.
To enrol in the Education specialisation you need to have at least three years’ teaching experience.
To enrol in the Mathematics Education specialisation you need to have at least three years’ teaching experience and currently hold a teaching position.
To enrol in the Teaching Chinese in Schools specialisation you need to have attained a proficiency level in Chinese of at least HSK Level 5 or equivalent.
To enrol in the Translation specialisation you need to have an IELTS Academic overall score of 7.0 with no bands less than 6.5. Alternatively, for non-native speakers of English, you need to have at least three years of tertiary education in the English medium.
