专业简介
The Bachelor of Science (BSc) is a three-year undergraduate degree which enables each student to develop his or her own interests in a science subject (science major) and related subjects. Students have the flexibility to combine their major subject with other science subjects, as well as subjects from other disciplines across the University.
Genetics combines the classical approaches of Mendelian genetics and cyto-genetics with the recently developed discipline of molecular genetics. Very much a practical science, it also has a complex and interesting theoretical foundation.

At least two of BIOL 112, BIOL 123, BIOC 192, ECOL 111, HUBS 191, HUBS 192, MATH 151 or MATH 160, STAT 110 or STAT 115. BIOC 192 and STAT 110 or 115 highly recommended.
200-level
GENE 221 Molecular and Microbial Genetics

BIOC 221 highly recommended; MICR 221 and ZOOL 222 recommended.

The minimum requirement for students is the completion of a high school qualification plus satisfactory completion of one year's study at an approved tertiary institution or successful completion New Zealand Foundation Year programme.
