专业简介
This three-year undergraduate degree will give you the skills to become a science innovator in an ever-evolving job market. You might develop new technologies, treat diseases, protect the environment, or address many other problems that require expert scientific minds. You'll learn how to collect, analyse and understand data, gathering a practical toolkit of knowledge. Our students are ready to leap into the careers of the future, and change New Zealand—and the world—for the better.
As a Bachelor of Science (BSc) student at Victoria, you’ll absorb knowledge, observe phenomena, experiment with ideas and maybe even be part of making new discoveries. If you have a natural curiosity—always questioning how stuff works, discovering new things and solving problems—join us at the number-one ranked university in New Zealand for research quality.
With this major you'll learn about the effects of shifting tectonic plates, how mountains are made and the power of volcanic eruptions. Work and research in the lab and out in the field to discover the origins of the solar system and how magma moves. You'll learn how and why rocks change in response to temperature and pressure, and look at fossils to understand the climate and environment of the past.
