Emergency and disaster management is an exciting, challenging and rapidly evolving field. Study the Master of Emergency Management and develop the skills to play a leading role in this field.
The degree focuses on reducing risk to communities where possible, building community resilience, improving emergency and disaster response, and enhancing recovery processes, including health and wellbeing. The programme is regularly reviewed to align with current research and practice, and is well suited for both New Zealand and international students.

Applicants musthave completed the following or equivalent: A bachelor’s degree OR Graduate diploma OR Relevant professional qualification or professional experience approved to be equivalent to a bachelor’s degree. English Language requirements: Minimum IELTS (Academic) score of 6.5 overall with all bands 6.0 or higher; TOEFL iBT score of 90; Certificate in English for Academic Study (CertEAS) with A grade; GIE with B+ grade; CAE minimum overall score of 176; PTE minimum overall score of 58.
