专业简介
Develop advanced knowledge and critical analysis skills in the broader area of education. The Master of Education is designed for professionals in early childhood education, compulsory education, adult and tertiary education and non-formal education.
Our Master of Education responds to students’ desire for a shorter, more flexible and more tailored postgraduate educational qualification. The programme offers flexibility, has a simple structure, and enables students to pursue an area of interest through research.
This is not an initial teacher education programme and will not lead to registration with the Education Council of New Zealand.
You complete the master's degree with:
60 points of optional papers and
60 points of compulsory educational research papers and
60-point dissertation
An alternative Master of Education pathway includes a 90-point thesis but is only recommended for students with experience or a very clear proposal for research. Talk to the programme leader if you're interested in this pathway.

You need to have completed the two educational research papers before you can enrol in the dissertation.

Master of Education graduates will have a broad range of research skills for application to their area of education.

This qualification does not provide eligibility for provisional teacher registration.
The Master of Education can serve as a pathway to doctoral study.

Applicants musthave completed the following or equivalent: A bachelor’s degree OR Graduate diploma OR Relevant professional qualification or professional experience approved to be equivalent to a bachelor’s degree. English Language requirements: Minimum IELTS (Academic) score of 6.5 overall with all bands 6.0 or higher; TOEFL iBT score of 90; Certificate in English for Academic Study (CertEAS) with A grade; GIE with B+ grade; CAE minimum overall score of 176; PTE minimum overall score of 58.
