专业简介
Lincoln University's Master of Science provides graduates with advanced training in scholarship and research in a range of science disciplines. This 240-credit research master’s requires 120 credits of course work and a 120 credit research thesis. Graduates receive specialist training and are ready for a wide range of employment in our primary industries.
Conservation is a worldwide issue which will require a huge effort to reverse the rate of species loss. Making a difference will require people that can use the best tools and theory as well as have appropriate practical skills and experience. The Conservation and Ecology major of the Master of Science offers the chance for students to enhance their practical and theory skills.
The Department of Pest Management and Conservation has strong links (through ongoing research and former graduates) with the New Zealand Department of Conservation, Centre for Wildlife Management and Conservation, Zero-Invasive Predators and regional councils.
Our range of postgraduate courses provide the theoretical underpinning of conservation and all include a practical, field-based component. The Conservation and Ecology major produces postgraduates with the knowledge and skills necessary to address ongoing and new challenges facing the world’s biodiversity crisis. We encourage our students to be part of the solution.
