The BA Geography course focuses on the many ways to explore our relationships to space, society, politics and culture. It provides the critical skills with which to appreciate, analyse and respond to the key issues and challenges of our contemporary lives. The foundation year of the programme provides people with non-standard entry qualifications a thorough and supportive academic preparation for successful degree level study in the Department of Geography. It is carefully designed to build your confidence in your abilities, develop essential academic and study skills, and provide the subject specific knowledge essential for success. Students will progress to the Department of Geography after completing their foundation year, subject to meeting progression thresholds which differ across courses and departments.
