This expert graduate course provides a thorough theoretical and practical grounding in workplace and employment law and develops the advanced professional skills and specialist knowledge required for working in workplace and employment relations, including in the public sector, corporate management, trade unions and employer associations. It is suitable for graduates interested in developing or enhancing specialist careers in human resources and the management of workplace and employment relations. You will gain an understanding of the Australian legal system and will investigate contemporary law issues, practice and scholarship, and evaluate complex issues relevant to the field from theoretical, international and interdisciplinary perspectives. As one of the most prestigious law schools in Australia, we offer this course at our Monash University Law Chambers, in the heart of the legal district of Melbourne. The course offers choice from a broad range of workplace and employment areas, or you can select from across the range of Masters law elective units. With units covering areas such as international human rights law, employee relations law, negotiations, electronic workplace law, human trafficking and the law, discrimination law, commercial alternative dispute resolution and workplace investigations and misconduct—to name a few, you will gain specialist knowledge and understanding of recent developments and the practice of law in this field. It provides the flexibility to tailor a program of study to suit your interests, skills and professional goals. Full-time or part-time study allows to you to continue to work and meet personal commitments while you study. The course enhances your capacity to undertake independent research, and includes options for a pathway to doctoral studies.

English language requirements: IELTS 7.0 no band lower than 6.5, or TOEFL 600 with a TWE of 5, or an internet-based TOEFL score of 100 with 24 plus in Writing and no section lower than 20 国际学生入学条件 A bachelor Honours degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, including human resource management, industrial relations or another relevant discipline, as determined by the faculty, with a minimum credit average. A bachelor degree (or equivalent) plus either a graduate diploma (or equivalent) in Law or a cognate discipline including human resource management, industrial relations or another relevant discipline or a graduate certificate (or equivalent) in Law or a cognate discipline including human resource management, industrial relations or another relevant discipline as determined by the faculty. Or A bachelor degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, including human resource management, industrial relations or another relevant discipline plus sufficient relevant work-based experience or professional learning to provide the equivalent of a bachelor honours degree on one of those disciplines, as determined by the faculty. Applicants will be assessed on their entire academic record, with a credit average (or equivalent) preferred. As a general rule, students who do not have a credit average or are relying on relevant work experience to satisfy entry requirements will need to have worked for at least two years, although the required period may be shorter where the work experience has been supplemented by other relevant learning.
