This course encompasses Russian language, culture, history, and politics and is designed to build up a comprehensive understanding of this complex nation. You will enjoy flexibility in your module choices, allowing you to build a fundamental understanding of Russia while focusing on elements which are of particular interest to you. This course is open to beginners as well as those with prior experience in Russian language, with teaching available for all levels. You may choose to further your language abilities by taking modules in Serbian/Croatian and Slovene and build modules covering southeast European studies into your degree, an option unique to Nottingham. A key element of this course is your third year spent in Russia, where you will be able to gain hands-on experience of this country that is essential in truly understanding Russia in the world today.
