Throughout this course you will study the theory and history of communications in a global context and develop a strong sense of the political, economic, social and cultural factors that affect how we understand each other in the modern world. These studies will be combined with modules in Portuguese language and culture, examining the literature, history, and politics of the entire Lusophone community. You will develop your language skills and cultural understanding, as well as apply your media and communication studies during your third year spent abroad. You will be working or studying in a Portuguese speaking country, and our dedicated year abroad team will help you design your year to best suit your interests and aspirations.
