Throughout this course you will study the theory and history of communications in a global context and develop a strong sense of the political, economic, social and cultural factors that affect how we understand each other in the modern world. These studies will be combined with modules in German language and culture, the language element of which may be taken at beginners’ or more advanced levels. You will have the additional opportunity to take modules in beginners’ Dutch, further enhancing your linguistic ability. You will develop your language skills and cultural understanding, as well as apply your media and communications studies during your third year spent abroad working or studying in a German-speaking country
