This course combines a rigorous training in analytical philosophy with the opportunity to study English language, literature and drama from Old English to the present day. You will develop important skills in clear thinking, argument, the use of language, and independent study. The modules we offer are inspired by the research interests of our staff and as a result, may change from year to year.

Applicants who have taken foundation courses are normally considered on a case by case basis. Students who have completed one or two years of university study may be eligible for bachelors admission, if relevant subjects have been studied and strong grades achieved. Again, applications are considered on a case by case basis.
