This Chemistry MSci degree provides an in-depth study of all of the major branches of chemistry, and a comprehensive grounding in modern, practical synthetic and analytical chemistry. In addition to the core chemistry modules students have a choice of specialist optional modules in areas such as medicinal chemistry, molecular modelling, drug discovery and green chemistry. Part of your final year will involve a research project in which you will continue to develop your practical ability, team working and problem solving skills. Current research areas include green and sustainable chemistry, new molecules for medicine, and nanomaterials. In addition, this course offers the opportunity to spend your third year studying at one of our partner universities overseas to gain a global perspective of chemistry.
