This course will provide you with a thorough, modern training in both biochemistry and genetics, emphasising common areas such as molecular biology, genetic engineering and biotechnology. You will gain expertise in core practices such as handling DNA and proteins and manipulating genes and genomes, which are highly sought after in the medicinal, pharmaceutical, agrochemical, and biotechnology industries. Furthermore, your teaching will take place predominately in the Medical School in the form of lectures, small-group workshops and seminars, giving you a well-rounded and dynamic learning experience.

Students who have completed one or two years of university study may be eligible for bachelors admission, if relevant subjects have been studied and strong grades achieved.
