The Master of Banking and Finance is a comprehensive master's degree that will give you a thorough understanding of the banking and finance industry.
The course develops your expertise across key areas of contemporary banking, such as portfolio management, money markets, financial management, bank lending, and risk management.
By connecting research and practice, the Master of Banking and Finance enables you to develop a deep understanding of the core role of the global banking industry, and provides practical opportunities to apply your knowledge.
The course positions you for a successful career by developing your theoretical knowledge and strengthening your critical thinking, communication and market research skills.

Our flexible course delivery also allows you balance work and study commitments. The Master of Banking and Finance can be undertaken full or part time, with day and evening classes available.
Graduates typically find work in banks, insurance companies or other institutional settings, in both Australia an internationally.
The course is structured in three parts. Part A. Advanced preparatory studies, Part B. Mastery knowledge and Part C. Application studies. All students complete Part B. Depending upon prior qualifications, you may receive credit for part A or part C or a combination of the two.

Applicants must have a relevant bachelor degree or equivalent. English language requirements: IELTS 7.0 no band lower than 6.5, or TOEFL 600 with a TWE of 5, or an internet-based TOEFL score of 100 with 24 plus in Writing and no section lower than 20
国际学生入学条件
Entry level 1:
An Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) and achieved a weighted average mark (WAM) of 60% or an equivalent grade point average (GPA) as determined by the faculty. Applicants will be ranked and selected based on their entire academic record.
Entry level 2:
An Australian undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in a cognate discipline with a WAM of 60%, or qualifications/experience or satisfactory substitute that the faculty consider to be equivalent
OR
An Australian graduate certificate (or equivalent) in a cognate discipline with a WAM of 60%, or qualifications/experience or satisfactory substitute that the faculty consider to be equivalent
OR
A four-year Australian undergraduate honours degree (or equivalent) with a WAM of 60% or qualification/experience or satisfactory substitute that the faculty considers to be equivalent.
Entry level 3:
An Australian undergraduate honours degree (or equivalent) in a cognate discipline with a WAM of 60%, or qualification/experience or a satisfactory substitute that the faculty considers to be equivalent, which has not been used as a basis for entry to another course within the Monash Business School.
English Language Requirements:
IELTS: 6.5 overall (no band lower than 6.0)
TOEFL Paper-based test: 550 with a TWE of 4.5
TOEFL Internet-based test: score of 79 overall with minimum scores: Writing: 21, Listening: 12, Reading: 13 and Speaking: 18
