In this course you will acquire advanced expertise in statistics, econometrics, finance, economics and mathematics.
It is designed for recent actuarial graduates and professionals in the early stages of their business careers, who want to pursue actuarial and risk management roles. The course covers specific areas of actuarial practice, and includes exemptions for Parts I and II of subjects of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia.
As part of the degree, you can choose a wide range of elective units, across the fields of econometrics, actuarial practice, economics, business modelling and finance, which will give you the flexibility to tailor the course to your personal interests and career goals.
Start of expanded content
As well as developing essential mathematical skills, the course also focuses on developing your wider business awareness skills including, communication, critical thinking, actuarial judgement and professionalism.
The course gives you access to some of Australia's renowned actuarial educators and practising actuaries with extensive industry experience, to ensure your studies focus on current concepts and issues that are relevant to business today.
The course is structured in three parts: Part A. Advanced preparatory, Part B. Mastery knowledge and Part C. Application studies. All students complete Part B. Depending upon prior qualifications, you may receive credit for Part A or Part C or a combination of the two.

Applicants must have a relevant bachelor degree or equivalent. English language requirements: IELTS 7.0 no band lower than 6.5, or TOEFL 600 with a TWE of 5, or an internet-based TOEFL score of 100 with 24 plus in Writing and no section lower than 20
国际学生入学条件
Entry Level 1:
An Australian bachelor degree or an equivalent qualification in a technical, mathematical or scientific discipline with a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 65% or an equivalent GPA determined by the faculty and must have passed an introductory statistics unit or equivalent. Applicants will be ranked and selected based on their entire academic record.
Entry Level 2:
An Australian undergraduate degree (or equivalent) and an Australian graduate certificate in a cognate discipline with a WAM of 65% in both qualifications or qualifications, experience or satisfactory substitutes that the faculty consider to be equivalent.
OR
An Australian undergraduate honours degree (or equivalent) in a cognate discipline with a WAM of 65% or qualifications, experience or satisfactory substitute that the faculty considers to be equivalent.
English Language Requirements:
IELTS 6.5 (no band lower than 6.0); or
TOEFL Internet-based test: score of 79 overall with minimum scores: Writing 21, Listening 12, Reading 13, Speaking 18
