Our Physical Education BSc with a Year Abroad provides the future generation of educators with a sprint start into the Physical Education curriculum, including areas such as games, athletics, aquatics, outdoor and adventurous activities, and dance. You’ll learn how to link theory with practice whilst enjoying the extensive sporting facilities at UEA. You will develop your skills as an educator within the highly regarded School of Education and Lifelong Learning with an embedded placement and research experience as part of the course. On this course, you’ll spend your third year studying abroad before returning to UEA for your final year.**Course Structure:****Year 1**Core modules cover topics including psychology, physiology, skill acquisition and fitness and training.You’ll take the compulsory module Academic and Professional Practice. This will smooth your transition into higher education, whatever your academic background, and give you the opportunity to undertake sports-industry-based voluntary work.**Year 2**You will study a combination of compulsory and optional modules from different aspects of physical education. These include Athletics and Aquatic Activities, Policy and Practice in Physical Education, and Professional Skills in Physical Education, among others. Students can also choose modules delivered across the university such as British Sign Language, International Development, and Creativity in Education.**Year 3**You’ll spend your third year studying abroad at one of our partner universities in North America, New Zealand or Australia.**Year 4**In your final year you will design and implement your own research project under the supervision of a member of staff. You’ll also choose from a range of optional modules to complement or extend your previous study and future career aspirations.
