You will develop your skills as a health practitioner within the highly regarded School of Education and Lifelong Learning with an embedded placement and research experience as part of the course.**Course Structure:****Year 1**Core modules cover topics including psychology, physiology, skill acquisition and fitness and training.You’ll take the compulsory module Academic and Professional Practice. This will smooth your transition into higher education, whatever your academic background, and give you the opportunity to undertake sports-industry-based voluntary work.**Year 2**You’ll study a combination of compulsory and optional modules from different areas, including psychology of physical activity and behaviour change, athletics and aquatics, partnerships in sport provision. Plus you could do an extended placement with a local organisation or care provider, along with a research enquiry.You’ll also have the chance to choose modules delivered across the university such as British Sign Language and Introduction to Business.**Year 3**In your final year you will design and implement your own research project under the supervision of a member of staff. You’ll also choose from a range of optional modules to complement or extend your previous study and future career aspirations.
