Adult nursing is a rewarding and challenging career, enabling you to make a real difference to people's lives. You will work with adults of all ages, who may have one or more long or short-term physical/mental health conditions. These could include: heart disease; arthritis; dementia; diabetes; cancer; injuries (caused by an accident, for example). As a student studying adult nursing you will achieve a BSc (Hons) Nursing (Adult) and become registered as an Adult Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). Future career: After studying to become an adult nurse, you will need to be committed to lifelong learning, ensuring your skills and knowledge remain up to date. To maintain your registration to practise with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, you'll need to go through the process of revalidation every three years. The process is straightforward and will help you to demonstrate safe and effective practice.
