This Engineering Physics BSc (Hons) degree builds on the core physics degree and adds to it the study of modern engineering methods, allowing students to immerse themselves in innovative projects with the support of brand-new, world-class facilities and equipment. The opening of STEMLab provides students on our Engineering Physics BSc (Hons) degree with unique opportunities to undertake innovative engineering physics projects supported by facilities across disciplines such as electrical engineering, materials science and additive manufacture – the possibilities are endless. The course is assessed by based on a variety of tasks including individual essays, projects, laboratory work, and contribution in tutorials, group work and presentations. A degree in Engineering Physics can lead to many and varied career opportunities. We strive to develop knowledge and practical abilities in our students that are valued in the workplace, including interpersonal and presentation skills. Many of our Physics graduates pursue careers in professional science and technical activities, manufacturing, information and communication, construction, and transport and storage.
