You’ll also gain policing and management skills for use at all levels, from managing yourself to planning large policing operations.On our Police Sciences degree, you will gain a detailed understanding of policing as you learn what it takes to be an efficient police officer who is ready for the challenges of the 21st century. This means that our students use exactly the same system that the police use to train their staff to be better officers.The Hydra Simulation helps you practise dealing with realistic scenarios such as major crime enquiries, so you will be able to develop your interview skills for critical incidents. The simulation suite allows you to experience these incidents in a safe learning environment, where you can test your ability to make decisions, take action and see the consequences. Our Crime Scene House is where you can practise your crime scene investigation techniques on campus. We also have forensic facilities where you can explore and analyse forensic evidence.
