This creative course mixes design and theory, focusing on the visual communication of brands, products and services across the global fashion and lifestyle industries.Develop visual communication skills across a range of creative media, including photography and styling, art direction and graphics, print and digital design, film, interactive media, 3D and retail design.Explore how brands communicate their key messages across promotional platforms such as branding, advertising, print, digital and social media, visual merchandising, retail environments, events and experimental marketing.Combining your theoretical understanding of the relationships between design codes, brand narratives and visual communication, you’ll learn how to generate great ideas that stand up to be tested in a business context. Although this is a creative course, you don’t need to have a background in art, design or fashion, or have a creative portfolio.**Key features of the course**- NTU has an outstanding reputation within the industry and is ranked 4th in the UK for Fashion and Textiles. (Guardian University League Tables 2019)- Work on live projects with brands such as All Saints, Boots, BMW, Levi, Speedo, Topshop, Reiss and Unilever.- Enter industry competitions like L’Oréal Brandstorm and All Walks Beyond the Catwalk’s Diversity NOW! where our students have had great success.- Benefit from the experience of guest speakers and visiting industry experts.- Go on optional study trips to places like New York, Paris, Berlin, and Tokyo. Visit companies, exhibitions and trade fairs to learn about the international market.- Apply for an international exchange to places like the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York.- There is an opportunity to work on a student committee to plan, design and take part in events that promote your work including Zine fairs, degree shows and Graduate Fashion Week.- Learn to use software such as Adobe InDesign and Photoshop, so you can develop your creative ideas to communicate with consumers.**Assessment**Assessment for this course is 100% through coursework. You will be assessed at the end of each module and awarded a grade. **Employability**Employability for this course is excellent, with 96% of students from this course going on to employment or further study within six months of graduating. (DLHE survey 2016/17). Graduate roles include web design, marketing, press and PR, fashion branding, and buying and merchandising. Recent graduate destinations include:- Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO, creative assistant- AHICA, buying assistant- Atelier Mayar.com, PR and marketing coordinator- Beauty Seen PR, press assistant- Boots, fashion brand consultant- L’Oréal, trade marketing intern, market research intern- Office Shoes, visual merchandising assistant- Stephen Jones Millinery, head of PR- The Universal Works, e-commerce assistant.

入学要求

为来自中国的学生设计 Students who completed High School Year 2 grades of 70% and above will be considered for foundation courses at Nottingham Trent International College (NTIC) and those who hold High School Year 3 grades of 80% and above will be considered for International Year One courses at NTIC.
