This course is designed for students who want to acquire a high level of expertise in three languages other than their own. They cater for those who prefer to concentrate exclusively on language learning, without any literature. These French and Spanish with German courses are intended to appeal to people from different countries of the world, coming to work together in a multilingual learning society. With quadrilingual language skills, graduates of these courses will be equipped to succeed in their chosen professions in every continent. They choose any three from French, German, Italian or Spanish, with the proviso that they may not study their native/first language. Studying Modern Languages opens the door to a wide variety of careers. Many Bangor Modern Languages graduates have, of course, gone into teaching and translating, but just as many have embarked upon successful careers in the civil service, business and commerce, industry and the media. The skills they learn whilst studying languages - cultural awareness, communication, accuracy, planning and logical analysis - are valued highly by employers from all sectors of the economy.
