This course provides a golden opportunity for students to spend 9-12 months in the workplace, gaining invaluable skills and experiences. It’s a four year course, with students spending their third year in industry. The work placement can be in the public, private or voluntary sector. There are also opportunities to work abroad. The Department of Welsh and the University will give students full support in terms of searching for a placement and during the year itself. Our aim is to ensure that our graduates have excellent skills so that they can compete and succeed in the job market.Many employers have declared their support for this new and unique provision. A course like this, which combines academic study and practical experience, is extremely valuable. " -In terms of the academic modules you will study at the Department of Welsh, it will be possible to choose from language and literature modules, as well as modules related to language policy, law and multiculturalism.Welsh Department lecturers receive international prestige for their research work. In the last REF assessment, 100% of the Department's research was deemed to be of an international standard or higher.
