Law is not just about people suing their local council - nor is it all high-profile criminal cases involving judges, wigs and the drama of the courtroom. It is a subject that covers nearly all aspects of human activity - from the contract you enter into when you buy a chocolate bar in a newsagent to your right to freely express yourself. The traditional LLB is a three-year law programme. It includes compulsory course modules in the first and second year: property, trusts, contract, criminal law, tort, constitutional and administrative law and EU law. These satisfy Bar Council and Law Society professional requirements for foundations of legal knowledge and skills. From these strong foundations, you are in a good position to choose from a wide array of modules for your second and third years.
