Studying modern languages is about more than vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation: you will also immerse yourself in culture, spend time working or studying abroad and learn to understand the subtleties of communication. This degree programmes is split equally between two languages, (although if you are a beginner in Russian you will undertake a preliminary year of Russian language first). To achieve the same high level of competence in both languages, you will take core modules in the written and spoken language for each subject all the way through to your final year.
