Biomedical science is concerned with understanding the causes, diagnosis and treatment of disease. Our programme has been accredited by the prestigious Institute of Biomedical Sciences and is co-taught between the School of Biological and Chemical Sciences and Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry. You will initially study subjects including human anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, molecular biology, immunology, genetics and pharmacology. In your final year you will study specialist modules in topics such as endocrinology, genomics, drug design, cell pathology and cancer biology. Many of our graduates progress onto medicine and dentistry programmes and the programme has been designed with this in mind.
