(DHLE 2014/15)In joining our vibrant creative community, you’ll be taught by academics who are creative writers themselves, as well as guest lecturers, which have previously included authors Amanda Smyth, whose short stories have been published in New Writing, London Magazine and broadcast on Radio 4, and Mez Packer, whose first novel ‘Among Thieves’ was shortlisted for the Commonwealth Writers' Prize and The People's Book Prize in 2010.You’ll also have the opportunity to attend a writers’ retreat in the lovely coastal town of Whitby, staying next door to the Abbey and the graveyard, which was an inspiration for Bram Stoker’s Dracula.
