专业简介
The Bachelor of Business from the Tasmanian School of Business and Economics (TSBE) is designed to produce graduates with well-developed business knowledge and a mix of skills and abilities that will enable you to adapt to change with future challenges, and to contribute to the economic and social wellbeing of your community. As a BBus graduate you will have the ability for evidence-based decision making – to clearly frame problems, to acquire and critically analyse knowledge of relevance to these problems, generate innovative evidence-based solutions that enhance the sustainability of business and society, and to effectively communicate their solutions to diverse audiences. Your decisions will be grounded in ethical business practice, and will be based on an awareness of different perspectives and world views.
To achieve these aims we offer a curriculum that is driven by leading edge research in business and economics, and the future needs of business, industry and our relevant professional bodies. Embedded in our curriculum are principles of entrepreneurship and innovation, ethics and sustainability, enabling our graduates to make immediate contributions to work and society. Our curriculum is delivered using contemporary teaching approaches, and offers a range of authentic (work integrated) learning experiences with a strong grounding in modern business practices. The Bachelor of Business offers you a range of flexible study options, including full-time and part-time study, as well as delivery in on-campus, blended and off-campus modes. The course may also be combined with a number of other courses from across the University to give you the option to complete a double degree.
Career outcomes
All sectors of a modern economy rely on effective management, financial control and administration so a business degree is one of the most sought-after degrees at university, and one of the most requested by employers.
A depth of understanding in a particular discipline allows you to pursue a focused career such as accounting, banking and finance, human resources or marketing. However, a business qualification also provides an excellent generalist degree for many graduate positions. Irrespective of your chosen career path a knowledge of business gives you a competitive advantage.
To study business is to study how to make an organisation successful. As well as understanding the fundamentals of business, you’ll develop workplace skills such as critical thinking, strategic analysis and measured decision-making.
