专业简介
In this MPhil course, we offer supervision for MPhils in all of our areas of expertise regarding cultural imaginaries and material practices of science and technology, including policy analysis, new genetic technologies, environment, health and medicine, and information and communications technologies. Close working relations are enjoyed with other departments at Lancaster, and in many cases there is cross-departmental supervision. Students doing an MPhil in Science Studies join the Department of Sociology’s international, interdisciplinary community of over 80 research students working on PhDs in Sociology, Gender and Women’s Studies, Science Studies, Media and Cultural Studies and Applied Social Science.

Students must have studied for at least 4 years duration. For courses that require a 2:1 equivalent, students must have achieved 80- 85% in Bachelor's degree. For courses that require a 2:2 equivalent, they must have achieved 75-80 %. Higher grades may be required depending on the ranking of the institution.
