This course offers in-depth analyses of human resource management themes such as workforce planning, encompassing recruitment, retention and reward, and conflict management. It acknowledges the centrality of knowledge to organising, and the role of change in contemporary organisations. You will learn about the importance of the human resource in organising, and the conditions necessary for fostering the development of people and knowledge, and you will hone the capabilities and skills necessary to manage the human resource function effectively. The programme will give you an excellent grounding in the knowledge and skills needed to embark on a career in HR, management and business, and provides an excellent preparation for a professional management career or to further study at PhD level. The programme is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). Upon successful completion students can gain Associate (Assoc CIPD) level of professional membership of the CIPD.
