Our pioneering virtual learning and research facilities have enabled the MPhil to be studied by distance learning from overseas and facilitated with ‘blended’ learning on campus bringing together students working in English from all over the world to share creative work and critical readings. We host a thriving international and transcultural community of MPhil students working across a range of literary genres and research projects. We have particular supervisory strengths in contemporary poetry, long fiction, short fiction, narrative and new media as well as research that explores a sense of place, conflict, cultural tensions and synergies.
