This course incorporates both Law and Politics modules. The degree will be of particular interest to those who wish to pursue a career in which knowledge of both the legal and governmental systems is of major importance, and should appeal especially to those wishing to study public policy in its legal context This degree programme is intended to fulfill the academic stage requirements of the Bar Standards Board and the Solicitors Regulation Authority. If you wish to qualify as a solicitor or barrister in England or Wales after graduation you will need to complete the LPC (Legal Practice Course) or BPTC (Bar Professional Training Course) along with a training contract as a trainee solicitor or pupilage as a trainee barrister. Applicants wishing to become lawyers outside of England and Wales should consult the appropriate country’s legal statutory body to check the requirements.
