Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion, students will have the skills and knowledge to:
Review, analyze, and synthesize historical materials, knowledge and theory;
Exercise critical thinking in historical theory while developing understanding of historical interpretations and debates;
Learn the technical skills needed to undertake independent historical research;
Present a clear and coherent exposition of historical ideas and materials to a variety of audiences, and
Undertake an independent research project.

Applicants must have completed a recognised undergraduate or postgraduate degree, certificate and/or relevant work experience, as appropriate, and satisfied any individual program subject prerequisites. English Language Requirements accepted: a score of 570 with TWE score of 4.5 in TOEFL (paper based test); Cambridge CAE Advanced score of 80 (Grade A); PTE Academic overall score of 64 with a minimum score of 55 in each section. For applicants under medicine program, undergraduate law, and legal workshop programs should hold: a score of 600 with TWE score of 5.0 in TOEFL (paper based test); Cambridge CAE Advanced score of 95 (Grade A); PTE Academic overall score of 70 with a minimum score of 60 in each section.

Students must have required the following:
A Bachelor degree or international equivalent with a GPA of at least 6/7 and with the approval of an identified supervisor for the thesis.
Applicants with a Bachelor Degree or Graduate Certificate in a cognate discipline may be eligible for 24 units (1 semester) of credit.
Applicants with a Graduate Diploma or Honours in a cognate discipline may be eligible for 48 units (1 year) of credit.
Academic IELTS overall score of 6.5 with at least 6 in each component of the test; TOEFL internet based test score of 80, with a minimum of 20 in Reading and Writing and 18 in Speaking and Listening; TOEFL paper based test score of 570 with TWE score of 4.5; Cambridge CAE Advanced score of 176 overall with at least 169 in all sub skills; PTE Academic score of Overall 64, minimum score of 55 in each section.
