The Master of Digital Arts (Advanced) offers a mixture of practical and theoretical courses in key areas of digital media such as, 3D and 2D computer animation, digital visual effects, digital video, digital compositing, interactivity, coding, site-specific projection, on-line design, virtual reality, sound, and hybrid media. As a digital arts student you will have access to the facilities at the ANU School of Art & Design, and be able to develop your own individual and collaborative projects in the context of other researchers at the ANU.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion, students will have the skills and knowledge to:
develop practice-led methodologies through investigation, analysis and synthesis of complex information to plan and execute substantial studio/screen-based creative research projects.
generate and evaluate complex ideas and concepts at an abstract level using cognitive, technical and creative skills and relate them to their own creative works and to recent developments in the field.
critically reflect upon and evaluate theoretical, conceptual and aesthetic aspects of creative practice and apply it in the production of creative works and/or professionally relevant projects.
design and develop creative works, either individually or in collaboration, that communicate theoretical, aesthetic, conceptual and imaginative propositions to specialist and non-specialist audiences.
complete a major piece of research in the field of digital arts

Applicants must have completed a recognised undergraduate or postgraduate degree, certificate and/or relevant work experience, as appropriate, and satisfied any individual program subject prerequisites. English Language Requirements accepted: a score of 570 with TWE score of 4.5 in TOEFL (paper based test); Cambridge CAE Advanced score of 80 (Grade A); PTE Academic overall score of 64 with a minimum score of 55 in each section. For applicants under medicine program, undergraduate law, and legal workshop programs should hold: a score of 600 with TWE score of 5.0 in TOEFL (paper based test); Cambridge CAE Advanced score of 95 (Grade A); PTE Academic overall score of 70 with a minimum score of 60 in each section.

By transfer from the Master of Digital Arts with a minimum GPA of 6/7 as well as the approval of an identified supervisor for the research project/thesis.
Applicants must also have a successful assessment of a portfolio of works.
Applicants with a Bachelor Degree or Graduate Certificate in a cognate discipline may be eligible for up to 24 units (one semester) of credit. Applicants with a Graduate Diploma or Bachelor degree with Honours in a cognate discipline may be eligible for up to 48 units (one year) of credit.
Academic IELTS overall score of 6.5 with at least 6 in each component of the test; TOEFL internet based test score of 80, with a minimum of 20 in Reading and Writing and 18 in Speaking and Listening; TOEFL paper based test score of 570 with TWE score of 4.5; Cambridge CAE Advanced score of 176 overall with at least 169 in all sub skills; PTE Academic score of Overall 64, minimum score of 55 in each section.
