They are adept at identifying and analysing problems, and steering policy ideas through a complex political environment, in order to serve the public interest. This course will develop your understanding of policy formulation, implementation and evaluation. As a graduate, you'll possess a deep knowledge of how political processes inform and shape policy development, as well as the skills to help you to analyse, design and deliver effective policy solutions. KEY FEATURES This course emphasises the politics surrounding public policy, and analyses the policy process from a political perspective. You'll focus on policy making within the Australian context, and you'll have opportunities to compare and learn from experiences in other countries around the world. You'll develop a comprehensive understanding of current debates in public policy, including evidence-based policy, accountability, federal-state relations, globalisation, policy transfer, political parties and citizen engagement.
