Overview
Creative writing - expressing yourself with flair and accuracy - is a key skill for life and most professions. If you love writing and reading literature and want to challenge yourself to develop your craft and technique, this course is your pathway to effective creative writing and non-fiction. You will undertake intensive practical workshops across a range of genres including young adult fiction, creative non-fiction, short story, novella, novel and poetry. You will create, workshop, and develop your writing with peers and our expert teachers.
KEY FEATURES

You'll have opportunities to apply your skills in professional context projects, and to add value to your writing through a suite of editing and publishing units.
You can undertake a wide range of practical, writing-intensive units to further develop your skills.
You'll create an e-portfolio of your work and learn new skills in our state-of-the art online learning platforms.
You'll have opportunities to participate in weekly creative writing workshops for peer feedback and discussion.
If children's literature is also your passion, you can add units from our internationally acclaimed Master of Children's Literature.
This course is available on campus, online, or through a combination of both, which means you can continue to work full-time while studying.

Applicants must hold a Bachelor degree or equivalent from a recognised institution. They should be able to demonstrate research experience in their previous studies. English Language Requirements: TOEFL (paper based) score of 570; Pearson test of English (PTE) academic general score of 64; Cambridge English: advanced (CAE) general score of 58; Occupational English test (OET) score of Grade B or above.

• Australian level 7 bachelor's qualification or recognised equivalent in literature, cultural studies, media studies, education, librarianship, creative arts, or a related discipline; or Australian level 7 bachelor's qualification or recognised equivalent with significant relevant work experience

IELTS of 7.0 overall (with minimum 6.5 in Reading, 7.0 in Writing, 6.5 in Listening, 6.5 in Speaking) or equivalent; TOEFL iBT 100; PTE Academic 65; CAE 185; CPE 185; OET B.
